Kandyen Wedding:

I had the great honor to visit a Kandyien wedding. Singhalese people have different traditions and beliefs and therefore also certain ceremonies. The kandyien style is one of the longest and interesting one. We had some bongo dancers who welcomed the bride and groom with music and dance. The priest was praying and singing all the time, for at least half an hour. The couple had to do certain things like passing leaves, kneeling down in front of their parents etc… Most females were wearing a Saree including me as u can see on the picture. It is very hard for me to explain all the meanings of this wedding, so just have a look at the pictures, I hope it shows you how many different traditions exist in the world.
